New Year, New Shows
It's all beginning to roll again, and I hope I get to see you somewhere!
2025 was such a busy year, and 2026 is looking a little quieter, giving me time to really dig into the projects that have been waiting for my attention.
My book is coming along, the second draft is happening chapter by chapter. And my album is so close - just some mixing to do and then all the other things that come with it. Promotion, artwork, videos... some of which I love, and some of which I would rather not, But I suppose that is why this is actually my job. I love the creation, the performance, the connection. And the other admin tasks, PR work, etc, is what allows me to keep doing the things I love.
My first three shows of the year are almost here. I'm in Charlottetown at the Jack Pine Folk Club tomorrow night. Hosted by Shane Pendergast, he's been working hard at making a really fun series happen. There are always a lovely mix of folks on and off stage, and I'm looking forward to being back at the Trailside for this one.
After that, the last two days of January, I'll be in Nova Scotia playing the Astor Theatre in Liverpool and The Marigold Cultural Centre in Truro. For these two shows, I'll have a beautiful little band of Nick Doneff, Kim Dunn and Mark Westberg. A dream! I'll be sharing some new songs and old ones too.
February brings a special Valentines Day show with Lucy Farrell at Copper Bottom in Montague PEI. And by the end of February and into March I'll be playing some Nova Scotia dates and one hometown Summerside PEI show, all with Jimmy Rankin and JP Cormier!
Now the task is to pray to the weather gods for easy drives and safe outings...
For those of you not in the Maritimes, I'll be heading to Alberta in the summer, Ontario in the fall and I'll be announcing German dates ASAP.
I hope to see you somewhere soon!
