November: Quiet days, dark nights…

I have settled back into life here in PEI, nestling in as we await first snows and darkest days...
The quiet days and long nights of autumn that stretch into the short, cold days of winter. I'm ready for it, I think. Are you?
Now some of you are on the other side of the world heading toward summer, and there is a part of me that wishes I could join you. But after a busy, difficult year, I'm looking forward to the slower pace of a PEI winter.

And I know, in the last note I wrote that all of my PEI shows were finished for the year, but then something came up.
My friend Kim Beggs was planning her tour to the East Coast from the Yukon so I set up a gig for us to share. Sadly, Kim has had a medical emergency and has had to cancel her entire tour. If you'd like to support her as she goes through this journey, you can find her GoFundMe campaign here.
And if you'd like to come see me at the Summerside Shipyard, a rare hometown solo show, you can find tickets here.

Once March hits, and it will be here before we know it, I'll be running the roads of England with my dearest Mark Westberg by my side. We'll be playing most of the month there, and then I fly from London to the West Coast of BC for a show in Prince George. I feel tired already just thinking about that flight! Eeeeek!

From now until March, I'll be keeping my head down, working on my book, finishing up the plan to get my record out and producing music for some other folks. And knitting. Lots of knitting.
Wishing you all well,
xo
