Happy Holidays!

It's that time of year again, and time for me to take a little break...

What a year it's been. Full of beauty, tragedy, struggles and new experiences.
Looking back, I'm filled with gratitude for the moments we've shared. From the concerts that brought us together across the country and across the world, to the inspiring stories you've shared about what my music means to you, each interaction has been a testament to the power of music to unite and uplift. This is what keeps me going - my connection with you.

The goals for me for this next year are:

- Finish my new record
- Share more of my homemade music videos with you
- Head back out on the road and connect again with you in person.

The record is fully on hold at the moment as my family is about to embark on a giant change. We are moving! I've lived in the country for over 15 years and we are working on moving into my hometown of Summerside PEI to be closer to my mom. So the record must wait! We've really enjoyed our time here in Evangeline, and we're sad to leave this community and this gorgeous house, luckily we're only going a few minutes down the road.

I've been wanting to make more videos for my youtube channel so if you have any song requests, please let me know. I absolutely love making videos, it's really fun and creative and a great distraction from the less fun parts of my job (read: admin) And it would be nice to have a few more videos made in this beautiful house before we leave it behind.

Here are a few Holiday themed videos for you:

Calling You Home - my Christmas song paired with my very nostalgic "found footage" video

My cover of "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" with family photos.

I do have one more project that is in the works, and that is a book that I’m writing - I’ve been talking a bit about it in my newsletter, so if you would like to hear updates on that, please sign up.

I never intended to write a book, but I was brought in on this project by my friend Bob Mersereau. He had been working on it for a while and decided it needed a more personal voice. Mine.
So I'm writing a biography on my father, Gene MacLellan.

Bob and I have been discussing it over the last few years, and it's taken me a long time to get my head into actually writing it.
There have been some starts and stops, beginning each time from the start. But now I'm hitting my stride, and becoming more disciplined with sitting down every day with it. I'm only in the first draft stage, which is a little like painting on a blank canvas. It could go pretty much in any direction. I’m using my beautiful newsletter subscribers to help keep me accountable.

One more gig before the end of the year and it is sold out!
DEC 22: HUNTER RIVER PE:
Live with Logan Richard @ Harmony House

The new year has some dates building in February, March, April and May and tickets are starting to sell out at some venues. So take a look at my upcoming dates, and see if there are any near you. I'll be updating that page as more of these shows are officially announced.
And summer festivals will be announced in the new year.
I really can not wait to see you somewhere!

That's it for now...

As we step into this new year, let's carry forward feelings of hope and togetherness. I'm thrilled to embark on this next chapter with you, with so many new projects in the works and (with luck) the opportunity to connect with you in person.
xoxo
Catherine
